Re: Translate parents names for Mathias
Only father's name given: Olof Pietilä.
According to HisKi database, mother's names came to Kemijärvi birth records in 1738.

Thank You, Jaska for your help. The original writings can be difficult to translate. That is to be expected when the records are several hundred years old.

As Kemijärvi communion books (rippikirja) of the time have only a few pages, I looked at the family though it's not familiar area to me.
In 1746-1752 there are birth dates: http://www.sukuhistoria.fi/sshy/kirjat/ ... k198/3.htm
The latter family on the page:
Johan Pietilä 1697
Olof, måg 1703 7/25 [måg = son-in-law]
Vallborg, hustru 1709 1/9 [wife]
Matts, sonen 1727 9/28
Earlier books show that Johan's wife was named Brita (Peersdotter). She had married Johan Peersson Pietilä on 13 Nov 1720, being a widow of Mickel Pietilä. Michel Michelsson Pietilä was originally Räisänen, who had married Brita Peersdotter, widow of Påhl Tuuliainen, on 25 Aug 1707. Olof Mattsson Halonen (born 25 Jul 1703) married Walborg Michelsdotter Räisänen on 23 Nov 1726.
Not so easy to figure out why Olof was son-in-law in Pietilä family
Paying less attention to surnames helps
