Cause of death hufv.svag

A 13 year old ancestor died from: Omkomit af hufv.svag. I think it means 'died of' but not sure what hufv.svag means.
Could you please translate for me.

Is there a better reference that I should be using.

Whatever that really means, it probably comes from words:
hufvud (modern spelling huvud) = head
svaghet = weakness
And the record language of those days was Swedish

In my opinion:

huvudsvag = heikkopäinen = mentally deviant or retarded

Of course we cannot deduct from just two words, what kind of case it was.

Thank you both for your reply. I will have to add this wording to my list of unusual phrases. This boy died in Aug,1780 and was buried in Jun,1781. I guess the answer to his death will be an assumption, but at least we have the dates and perhaps someone in the future can solve his death.
