I don't know any direct translation for rotfattig, but she/he was a fattig (poor) person whose livelihood was taken care of by a number of houses comprising a rot. A similar term is kyrkfattig, when church took care of her/him. Usually old or disabled persons who were not capable of earning living with whole time work. A kind of pension arrangement of old days.

Thank you Jaska, that would be correct. She was a 75 year old woman at the time of her death from Tuberculosis in 1867.
