Haapanen to America

Hi hoping for some information .,the facts as I know them..my g grandparents were Samual Konrad Haapanen 1857-1921) from Uusikirkko TL, Pyrrila, Runola and Maria Wilhelmina Manderos (1868-1902) from Laitila Finland. They had 5 sons, the first 2 died as infants. and the last ViKtor Vaino Haapanen (my imm ediate grandfather)emigrated to Sth Australia and I am very familiar with his story here.

The 3rd and 4th sons though I think emigrated to America and I know nothing more of them. They were Kustaa Hjalmar (Nurmi) Haapanen born 16 Nov 1861 and Frans Eino Haapanen born 27 May 1894 both from (Now called Kalanti) ...Uusikirkko TL, Pyrrila, Runola.

It is poossible that Frans went to Putnam in Conneticutt and that Kustaa may have married someone named Maria Ottelia Aaltonen. Really hoping that some-one can help with information.......I am in Australia

The names of those three brothers are very clear on this page of Turun ja Porin läänin henkikirjat, Uusikirkko, Pyrrilä, Runola:

and they are Nurmi, Laivo and Haapanen. All of the are "absent".

Do not trust that there are ALL records in the Migration Institute... There are always some years mssing, and that is fatal. And there are several Kustaa Nurmis, too. But one of them leaves Hanko at the age of 22, to go to Boston, MA by Titania from Finland and later on by Majestic on 9th of April. 1913. Maybe it is him?
